The invention relates to the technical field of hybrid power vehicles, and discloses a severe hybrid power vehicle operation control method. The method comprises the steps of determining a total torque demand of a whole vehicle system by a vehicle accelerator pedal sensor and a vehicle speed sensor; analyzing the difference between the total torque demand and the determined torque of each discreteoptimization operating point of the engine, and determining the operating point demand of the optimized engine to obtain a first torque demand; controlling the engine to stably work at the determinedoptimized operating point according to the first torque demand, and obtaining stable engine output torque; determining a second torque demand, taking the second torque demand as the input of the motor torque demand, and combining the current vehicle speed to obtain the target rotating speed of the motor; and controlling the torque of the motor through the target rotating speed of the motor, wherein the sum of the number of the first torques and the number of the second torques is the total torque demand. According to the control method, the engine is always in a relatively fixed fuel economyworking area, so that the fuel economy of the whole vehicle is greatly improved.
