The invention discloses a safe vehicle distance detection method based on machine vision. The method comprises the following steps: a) establishing a training material library; b) manually labeling the picture processed in the step a); c) obtaining a license plate detection model; d) establishing a vehicle distance detection mathematical model according to a similar triangle principle in a cameraimaging process; e) obtaining a vehicle distance detection model; f) establishing a piecewise function algorithm of the real-time relative vehicle speed and the vehicle distance of the vehicle; and g)deploying an algorithm model. According to the safe vehicle distance detection method based on machine vision, the distance between the front vehicles is calculated through the pictures containing the license plates of the front vehicles collected in real time, the relative vehicle speed is calculated through the change of the vehicle distance in the two adjacent collected pictures, and when therelative vehicle speed is not matched with the vehicle distance, a warning signal is sent out, so that traffic accidents caused by long-time fatigue driving and distracting of a driver are avoided.

    本发明的基于机器视觉的安全车距检测方法,包括:a).建立训练素材库;b).对经步骤a)处理后的图片进行手工标注;c).获得车牌检测模型;d).根据摄像头成像过程中的相似三角形原理建立车距检测数学模型;e).获得车距检测模型;f).建立车辆实时相对车速与车距的分段函数算法;g).算法模型部署。本发明的基于机器视觉的安全车距检测方法,通过实时采集的含有前车车牌的图片来求取前车距离,通过采集的相邻两帧图片中车距的变化来求取相对车速,当相对车速与车距不匹配时,则发出警告信号,以避免驾驶员因长时间疲劳驾驶、分神所导致的交通事故的发生。
