The invention discloses a hub bearing unit and relates to the field of hub bearings. The hub bearing unit mainly comprises a bearing inner race, a hub outer race, a flange plate and a driving shaft. The bearing inner race is mounted on the flange plate in an embedded mode. Double rows of rollway nests are formed in the flange plate and used for mounting bearing rollers correspondingly. The drivingshaft is connected and sealed to the inner side of the flange plate through an elastic seal ring. The tail end of the driving shaft is sleeved with a starlike sleeve provided with a ball path. A universal joint roller ball path is formed in the flange plate and matched with the ball path in the starlike sleeve to form a rollway nest used for mounting a universal joint roller. A universal joint retainer is arranged outside the universal joint roller in a covering mode and fixes the universal joint roller. According to the hub bearing unit provided by the invention, by machining the universal joint roller ball path in the flange plate, a bell-shaped shell structure is integrated into the flange plate, and the hub bearing unit has the advantages of small axial size, small part quantity, highfunction integration level, low weight and easy and reasonable mounting; a constant velocity universal joint structure in the hub bearing unit is partially arranged outside, so that the structure ismore compact; and the driving stiffness is higher.
