The invention discloses a universal brake pedal feeling simulator and a working method thereof. The brake pedal feeling simulator comprises a mechanical transmission module, a brake pedal feeling simulation module and a control module. The brake pedal feeling simulation module uses magnetorheological fluid to replace a hydraulic or elastic element, so that the structural complexity is greatly simplified; the property of magnetorheological fluid flowing through the piston through hole is changed through the magnet exciting coil, the size of the piston through hole opening is adjusted in combination with the rotating angle of an electric control rotating poking piece, and the magnetorheological fluid damping force can be more finely adjusted to obtain the optimal pedal feedback force by jointly using the two modes. The universal brake pedal feeling simulator and the working method thereof are high in real-time performance, high in universality and capable of providing optimal brake pedalfeedback for different drivers.
