The invention discloses a climbing machine in a tower crane and an installation method thereof. The climbing machine comprises a tower body, tower frames and climbing devices. The tower body is formedby assembling the multiple tower frames, and the climbing devices are arranged in the tower frames. Each tower frame comprises a rectangular frame, wherein two supporting rods are fixedly connected to two symmetrical frame sides of the rectangular frame, X-shaped reinforcing rods are fixedly connected between the supporting rods and the frame sides of the rectangular frame, climbing rods are fixedly connected between the two supporting rods, and a sliding opening is formed in the middle of the other side of the rectangular frame. Each climbing device comprises an upper plate and a lower plate. By arranging the climbing devices and arranging the symmetrical climbing rods on the tower frames, through cooperation of the climbing devices and the climbing rods, the climbing devices can climb on the tower body, and then the height is increased; by introducing the tower frames, the height is increased, and operation is convenient; and the climbing machine is not limited to installation and use in elevator shafts and can be applied to collaborative work of tower crane groups.
