The invention discloses an alternating-current charging pile suitable for a garage. The alternating-current charging pile comprises a camera device, a recognition device, a garage door opening deviceand a charging pile body. The method comprises the following steps: (1) the camera device is used for checking whether a vehicle exists in front of a garage; (2) the recognition device is used for detecting whether the vehicle has the permission to enter the garage; (3) the garage door opening device is used for opening and closing the garage door; and (4) the charging pile is used for charging the electric vehicle.
