The invention provides an electric power supply control apparatus for a vehicle and an electric power supply control method for the vehicle, when the upper limit value of the power which can be used by at least one of a motor and a temperature adjusting device in electric power that can be output by a battery in a vehicle is set as a total electric power upper limit value, the apparatus and the method suppress that the sum of the traveling electric power and the temperature adjustment electric power is greater than the total power upper limit value when switching between the traveling prioritymode and the temperature adjustment priority mode. In each mode, the preferentially supplied power among the traveling electric power and the temperature adjustment electric power is set as the firstpower, and the non-preferentially supplied power is set as the second power. In the switching mode, when the sum of the requested value of the second power and the first power is greater than the total power upper limit value in the mode before switching, the first power is reduced, and after the sum of the requested value of the second power and the first power is equal to or less than the totalpower upper limit value, the mode is switched.
