Provided is a cancellation mechanism which is simple and for which increases in size and number of components can be suppressed. This cancellation mechanism is characterized in that it is provided with the following: body sections (21, 23) that are rotatably attached to a support shaft and are connected to an automatic transmission by way of the support shaft; a rotating lever (22) that is attached to the body sections (21, 23) so as to be rotatable around the support shaft and that rotates in accordance with input from a shift lever device; and an actuator (24) that is disposed on either the rotating lever (22) side or the body section (21, 23) side and shifts between a coupled position in which the rotating lever (22) and the body sections (21, 23) are coupled and an uncoupled position in which the coupling between the rotating lever (22) and the body sections (21, 23) is released.
