The invention relates to an orthogonality horizontal adjustment method and a device with the method. For leveling of a platform and equipment, the orthogonality horizontal adjustment method for diagonal detection comprises the following steps that three pivots are distributed in a right triangle manner, the right-angle vertex C serves as a fixed pivot, the point A and the point B are adjusted, and due to the fact that AC is perpendicular to BC, when the point A is adjusted, the height change of the point A in the BC direction has no component; and in a similar way, the point B is adjusted, the height change of the point B in the AC direction has no component either, accordingly, independent adjustment in the two directions is achieved, and the actual adjusting variable is consistent with the designed adjusting variable. By means of the method, two branch-pipe-shaped level bubbles are placed in the AC direction and the BC direction respectively, a base plate is adjusted to be horizontal through a horizontal metal building pile foundation positioning device via elevation adjustment and horizontal adjustment, positioning plates are attracted to the four corners of the base plate through magnets, and the whole horizontal adjustment is finished. Compared with three pivots distributed in a right triangle manner in the prior art, in the adjusting process, adjusting is easy and efficient.
