The invention relates to the technical field of mechanical welding, in particular to a ship machining method. The method comprises the steps that a lifting cabin base module is manufactured on a moulding bed, wherein adjacent rib plates are mounted around the periphery of the lifting cabin base module; the lifting cabin base module is transferred to a turbine workshop; in the turbine workshop, the lifting cabin base module is machined, and positioning assembling of the lifting cabin base module, a first structure of a ship and an inlaying plate is carried out on a shipway, wherein the first structure is the structure below a lower deck of a stern of the ship; and the inlaying plate is of a structure between the lifting cabin base module and the first structure. The lifting cabin base module serves as an independent module to be manufactured on the moulding bed so as to be subjected to infield machining in the turbine workshop. On the shipway, the lifting cabin module and other structures are assembled, and therefore the machining efficiency is improved, the total assembly speed of the shipway is improved, the ship construction period is shortened, and the cross operation is reduced.
