The invention discloses an intelligent public transit system based on a cloud computing technology, and belongs to the field of public transit systems. The invention aims at solving the technical problems that a public transit system is low in efficiency and poor in informatization and scheduling. The intelligent public transit system based on the cloud computing technology comprises a public transit scheduling service center, sub scheduling centers and a bus fleet, the public transit scheduling service center is connected with the sub scheduling centers through a digital data network, a global positioning system receiving device and a wireless both-way communication device are arranged in each vehicle of the bus fleet, and each vehicle of the bus fleet is connected with the corresponding sub scheduling center through the corresponding global positioning system receiving device and the corresponding wireless both-way communication device.
