The invention relates to the technical field of cars, in particular to a speed reducer. The speed reducer comprises an input shaft, a middle shaft and an output shaft, and further comprises a P-gear parking structure, wherein a drive motor is connected with the input shaft; a gear of the input shaft is in engaged transmission with a large gear of the middle shaft; a pinion of the middle shaft is in engaged transmission with a gear of the output shaft; a ratchet wheel is arranged on the input shaft and a pawl of the P-gear parking structure is matched with the ratchet wheel for stopping rotation of the input shaft, so that a parking function is realized. According to the speed reducer, the P-gear parking structure is directly integrated into the speed reducer as one part of the speed reducer, and the pawl of the P-gear parking structure is matched with the ratchet wheel on the input shaft to control the rotation of the input shaft, so that the rotation of the input shaft is stopped, and integral work of the speed reducer is also stopped, and therefore, the novel speed reducer can realize the P-gear parking function; the integral structure of a drive system is simplified, direct control on the input shaft of the speed reducer in aspect of a structural relationship is realized, and therefore, the speed reducer is more convenient and flexible.
