The invention discloses a solar electric power line detection unmanned aerial vehicle which comprises a remote control unmanned aerial vehicle and a rotatable camera arranged on the bottom surface of the remote control unmanned aerial vehicle and further comprises a circuit device arranged in the remote control unmanned aerial vehicle and a power module arranged in the remote control unmanned aerial vehicle and used for supplying power to the circuit device, wherein the circuit device comprises a main control device and a communication module used for receiving a flight command signal and emitting a monitoring signal; the communication module and the camera are in signal connection with the main control device; the communication module comprises an antenna; the antenna is pivotally connected with the bottom of the remote control unmanned aerial vehicle; through special antenna structure design and the externally-mounted antenna, the communication quality of the unmanned aerial vehicle is improved greatly during line detection, therefore, the detection precision and accuracy of the unmanned aerial vehicle are improved greatly.
