The invention discloses a pinion-and-rack power steering gear sealing structure which comprises an input shaft (1) and a dust shield (2), as well as an upper sealing cover (3) and a lower sealing cover (4) that are positioned in the dust shield (2), wherein the upper sealing cover (3) is matched with the lower sealing cover (4) to form concentric-square-shaped small gaps, and a housing (5) and an oil seal (6) are sequentially arranged below the lower sealing cover (4). According to the pinion-and-rack power steering gear sealing structure in the above structure, after a part of muddy water enters the concentric-square-shaped small gaps, the concentric-square-shaped small gaps can be filled with the muddy water rapidly in the axial direction, while gas exists in a space in the housing, if the muddy water needs to enter the space, the muddy water needs to overcome air pressure to permeate through concentric-square-shaped thin walls and then enters the housing; and during practical working, no additional pressure is applied to the muddy water from the exterior of a steering gear. Therefore, the muddy water can not pass over the concentric-square-shaped small gaps to enter the steering gear. Based on this principle, an oil seal working environment can be can be effectively protected from the muddy water, so that the effective sealing function of the oil seal is ensured.
