The invention provides a detecting system for inflammable and explosive articles in a bus. The detecting system comprises a microprocessor, a finder for inflammable and explosive articles, monitors for inflammable and explosive gases, and an audible and visual alarm, wherein the microprocessor is separately connected with the finder for inflammable and explosive articles, monitors for inflammable and explosive gases and the audible and visual alarm; the finder for inflammable and explosive articles is arranged under a pedal step of an entrance door of the bus, and the audible and visual alarm is arranged in the center of the top in the compartment of the bus. The detecting system disclosed by the invention has the beneficial effects that personal articles of each passenger getting on the bus can be detected, besides, gas conditions in the compartment of the bus can be monitored, and once the inflammable and explosive articles are detected, the microprocessor can give out control signals so as to enable the audible and visual alarm to work; the detecting system has the advantages of performing automatic monitoring, saving time and the like.
