The invention discloses an eddy current retarder control system based on the inductance voltage-dropping drive. The eddy current retarder control system comprises an eddy current retarder, and is characterized by also comprising a single chip microprocessor, a power supply module, a brake pedal, a gear switch, a pulse signal acquisition unit, a switching value signal processing unit, a CAN bus data receiving-transmitting unit and a brake car light drive unit, which are respectively connected with the single chip microprocessor, a car main control unit and a traveling computer, which are connected with the CAN bus data receiving-transmitting unit, and an inductance voltage dropping drive unit which is connected with the switching value signal processing unit, wherein the eddy current retarder is connected with the pulse signal acquisition unit and the voltage dropping drive unit. By adopting the inductance voltage dropping drive unit, the eddy current retarder can be flexibly driven, so that the drive efficiency can be improved, and the loss of the eddy current retarder can be reduced.
