The invention discloses an emergency manual rescue device of an elevator. The emergency manual rescue device of the elevator comprises a hand-barring mechanism and guide rails, wherein the hand-barring mechanism is arranged on one lateral wall of a lift car and capable of stretching out and drawing back in the direction perpendicular to the lateral wall of the lift car. A worm wheel is arranged inside the hand-barring mechanism and the radial plane of the worm wheel is perpendicular to the lateral wall of the lift car. The upper end of the worm wheel is provided with a worm in an engaged mode. The worm extends into the lateral wall of the lift car. The guide rails are perpendicularly arranged on the two lateral walls of a well. The lift car is arranged on the guide rails through guide shoes arranged on the lateral walls of the lift car. The inner lateral wall, corresponding to the hand-barring mechanism, of the lift car can be opened, a toothed belt is arranged on a guide rail base in the length direction of the guide rails, and the worm wheel is selectively in engaged connection with the toothed belt. The technical problem that passengers are not likely to escape from the lift car when power is off is solved effectively.
