The invention discloses a temperature monitoring device for a rail vehicle power resistor. The device comprises a signal acquisition module, a signal amplification and comparison module, a logic synthesis module, an isolation output module, and a power supply processing module. The signal acquisition module, the signal amplification and comparison module, the logic synthesis module and the isolation output module are connected in sequence. The input end of the power supply processing module is connected with a power resistor. The output end of the power supply processing module is connected with all the above modules to power up the modules. The signal acquisition module comprises a resistor unit that changes correspondingly along with the temperature variation of the power resistor. A voltage signal applied on the resistor unit serves as an output signal of the signal acquisition module and the output signal is input into the signal amplification and comparison module to be amplified and compared with a preset threshold. The comparison result is analyzed by the logic synthesis module and then a drive signal is outputted to drive the isolation output module to output a temperature overtemperature switching instruction to the control system of a rail vehicle. The device is simple in structure, high in control precision, strong in anti-interference performance and easy to install.
