The invention discloses a wheel rim brake capable of detecting pressure of a brake caliper. The wheel rim brake comprises a mounting base, wherein a brake caliper bracket is mounted on the mounting base; a baseplate is mounted at the other end of the brake caliper bracket; the brake caliper is mounted on the brake caliper bracket through a brake caliper rotating shaft; a brake head is mounted at a caliper head end of the brake caliper through a brake head rotating shaft; an oil cylinder is mounted at a caliper handle end of the brake caliper through an oil cylinder rotating shaft; and the brake head rotating shaft or the oil cylinder rotating shaft adopts a shaft pin load sensor. The wheel rim brake has the following technical effects: the brake head rotating shaft or the oil cylinder rotating shaft of the wheel rim brake adopts the shaft pin load sensor; the shaft pin load sensor is deformed to generate electric signals; and weak electric signals are converted to bus signals by a load transducer, and the bus signals are transmitted to such electric control equipment as PLC, so that online real-time detection for pressure performance of the brake caliper of the wheel rim brake is achieved. When the pressure of the brake caliper of the wheel rim brake is not in the design requested range, the elasticity of a disc spring is reduced, and the disc spring is replaced timely, so that the brake performance of the wheel rim brake is guaranteed, and accidents are prevented.
