The invention relates to a device for treating automobile parts. A body of the device is a box. The box is provided with a cabin door, air outlets, air inlets and a control panel. The cabin door is arranged on one side face of the box, the side face where the cabin door is located is provided with no air inlet or air outlet, the air inlets are formed in the opposite side faces and/or the bottom surface of the box, the air outlets are formed in opposite side faces and/or the top surface of the box, the air inlets are lower than the air outlets in the vertical direction, and the control panel can be arranged on any side face of the box. The invention further relates to a method for treating the automatic parts. According to the method, the automobile parts are steamed at 60-70 DEG C through steam. By means of the device and method, volatile harmful gas contained in the automobile parts volatilizes repeatedly and is taken away by the flowing steam, and therefore the harmful matter content in the automobile parts is reduced.
