The invention provides an intelligent parking space management system for a residence community. The intelligent parking space management system comprises a plurality of intelligent sensor nodes, ZigBee base stations, a background server and clients, wherein each intelligent sensor node is installed in a corresponding parking space region; each intelligent sensor node comprises an infrared range finding sensor and a ZigBee module, the infrared range finding sensor is used for detecting whether a vehicle is placed in the corresponding parking space region, and the ZigBee module is used for sending a detection result of the infrared range finding sensor to the ZigBee base stations; the ZigBee base stations are used for transmitting the detection results to the background server; a residence community planning map is stored in the background server, and the parking space regions provided with the intelligent sensor nodes are displayed on the residence community planning map; and the background server sends parking information display signals to the clients according to the received detection results so as to display a dynamic parking information map of the residence community.
