The present invention relates to a road vehicle monitoring system which is characterized in that the system comprises a microprocessor, an information receiving module, a GPS positioning instrument, a signal generator, a clock module and a signal receiving module. The input end of the microprocessor is connected to the information receiving module, the GPS positioning instrument, the signal generator, and the clock module. The output end of the microprocessor is connected to the signal receiving module. The system is installed in a vehicle in working, when the vehicle is traveling, the signal received by the signal receiving module is transmitted to the microprocessor, after the microprocessor receives the signal, an instruction is sent to the GPS positioning instrument and the clock module, the clock module transmits current time to the microprocessor back, the GPS positioning instrument transmits a vehicle coordinate position and a speed to the microprocessor back, after the microprocessor receives a feedback signal, the microprocessor integrates the time, the position coordinate and the speed and transmits information out through an information transmitting module.
