The invention relates to the field of aerial work devices, in particular to a stretchable guard bar of an aerial work platform. The stretchable guard bar comprises the platform, primary rods, secondary rods, lock catches and a cross rod. The primary rods are welded to the periphery of the platform and are of hollow structures, the secondary rods are sleeved with the primary rods, and the lock catches are installed at the top ends of the primary rods. The cross rod is welded to the middles of the primary rods and the tops of the secondary rods. By means of the stretchable guard bar, the height of the guard bar can be adjusted, the applicability of the guard bar can be improved, and the worker safety can be protected.
