The invention relates to a reinforcing method and a reinforcing structure for a rail of a portal crane. According to the reinforcing structure, pad blocks and steel box girders are adopted, every two pad blocks are grouped, the pad blocks in each group are longitudinally arranged at the two sides of one anchor bolt of a concrete foundation of the rail along the rail respectively, each pad block is as wide as the concrete foundation, and the height of each pad block is determined according to actual measurement, thus ensuring that the pad blocks are located at the same horizontal height after being placed; the steel box girders are erected on the pad blocks, the bottoms of the steel box girders are fixedly connected with the concrete foundation through the anchor bolts, the tops of the steel box girders fix the steel rail through a press plate and press plate bolts, and rubber pads are laid between the steel rail and the steel box girders; and gaps among the pad blocks, the concrete foundation and the steel box girders are filled with gravel, and gravel is stacked at the two sides of each steel box girder for reinforcing. The reinforcing structure provided by the invention is applicable to renovation and reformation for an original rail, and capable of reinforcing the original rail and enabling laying for the new rail to meet the use requirements of equipment; and the method is simple, capable of saving labour and funds, short in construction period, and insusceptible to normal production.
