The invention belongs to the technical field of elevator safety design and discloses a reverse thrusting device based on the homopolar electromagnetic field acting force. The reverse thrusting device comprises a falling protection controller, a power source, a signal transmitter, a wire harness, an infrared distance meter, an infrared distance metering positioning block, a signal receiver and positive-direction electromagnetic field transmitting mechanisms. The falling protection controller, the power source and the signal transmitter are sequentially arranged on the upper surface of the top of an elevator car. The infrared distance meter and the first positive-direction electromagnetic field transmitting mechanisms are arranged on the lower surface of the bottom end of the elevator car. The infrared distance metering positioning block and the second positive-direction electromagnetic field transmitting mechanism are arranged at the bottom of an elevator shaft. According to the reverse thrusting device, when the falling protection controller monitors that the elevator car falls through the infrared distance meter, the electromagnetic field transmitting mechanisms are controlled to start through a wireless signal alarm, and the falling resistance of the elevator car is increased. The reverse thrusting device is reasonable in design, simple in structure and applicable to optimization design of vertical elevator falling damage reduction systems.
