The invention discloses a shock absorption method of a longitudinally-split rim and the longitudinally-split rim. The longitudinally-split rim comprises an inner rim body and an outer rim body, wherein the inner rim body and the outer rim body are generally connected through bolts. For improving the use performance of the rim, a circumferential annular groove is designed between a flange of the outer rim body and the outer edge of the rim, bolt holes are distributed in the outer rim body, the inner rim body and the outer rim body can be connected in an interference fit mode through the circumferential annular groove, the axial contact length between the inner rim body and the outer rim body can be increased, and therefore the connecting strength and the sealing performance can be improved. According to the invention, the connecting strength and the sealing performance after tires are installed can be further guaranteed through welding and interference fitting, the circumferential annular groove has the effects of buffering and absorbing shock in the driving process of vehicles, and therefore the riding comfort of passengers can be improved.
