The invention provides an electric power cart. The electric power cart comprises a cart body, a first wheel body, a second wheel body, a first motor, a second motor, a pair of connecting rods, a push rod mechanism, a torsional elasticity device, angle detection devices and a control device, wherein the first wheel body and the second wheel body are positioned below the cart body and suitable for driving the cart body to advance or back; the first motor is suitable for driving the movement of the first wheel body; the second motor is suitable for driving the movement of the second wheel body; the connecting rods are coupled to a shaft arranged on the cart body and can rotate with the shaft together; the push rod mechanism is used for receiving force applied by an operator on the cart body and is connected to the connecting rods in a universal manner, so that after force is applied on the push rod mechanism, the push rod mechanism drives the connecting rods and the shaft to rotate for certain angles relative to the cart body; the torsional elasticity device tends to drive the connecting rods to return to initial states; the angle detection devices positioned near the shaft are respectively used for detecting the rotating movement of each connecting rod relative to the cart body and outputting electric signals about the directions and angles of the rotating movement of the connecting rods; and the control device controls the output of the first motor and/or the second motor according to the electric signals and set assisting conditions.
