The invention discloses a method for conducting safety coordination control on a highway confluence area based on the vehicle-vehicle communication technology. The method comprises the steps of firstly, judging the type of a vehicle B, and if the vehicle B is a large-size freight car, conducting calculation and obtaining a time range within which the vehicle B reaches a collision zone of the confluence area according to information of the vehicle B; treating the time range within which the vehicle B reaches the collision zone of the confluence area as a limiting condition, and calculating a speed range within which a vehicle A reaches the collision zone range within the time range of the vehicle B, namely the minimum speed value and the maximum speed value; then, comparing the current driving speed of the vehicle A with the speed range, and if the driving speed of the vehicle A is within the speed range, judging that the vehicle A and the vehicle B reach the collision zone at the same time, so that the speed of the vehicle A needs to be adjusted for avoiding collision between the vehicle A and the vehicle B; finally, according to the vehicle driving distance, obtaining the optimum recommended speed value of the vehicle A on a main lane and the optimum recommended speed value of the vehicle B on a ramp through calculation, wherein the optimum recommended speed values are provided on the basis that collision between the vehicle A and the vehicle B is avoided and passage efficiency is not affected; reminding drivers of adopting the recommended speed to drive the vehicles through voice or characters.
