The invention discloses an abrasion reduction device for a steel wire rope of an incline hoist. The abrasion reduction device comprises a concrete foundation, foundation bolts embedded in the concrete foundation and a base fixed on the concrete foundation through the foundation bolts, wherein a roller bracket is mounted on the base; a rotating shaft below the roller bracket is rotationally mounted in a first bearing hole in the base through a thrust ball bearing; a U-shaped groove is formed in the upper part of the roller bracket; an industrial plastic roller is mounted in the U-shaped groove; the industrial plastic roller is connected with a spindle in the industrial plastic roller through a nonstandard key; the two ends of the spindle are respectively mounted in second bearing holes in the two sides of the U-shaped groove through tapered roller bearings. Accordions to the invention, industrial plastic can be in contact with the steel wire ropes, so that abrasion of the steel wire ropes can be reduced greatly in actual running; in addition, the fact that the steel wire ropes are not on the same straight line during bending of the incline hoist is ensured, so that a good abrasion reduction effect is realized and the roller shaft of the abrasion reduction device can rotate in a plane in any direction.
