The invention discloses a single-braking pressing plate bidirectional automatic vehicle-sliding-prevention speed-limiting system with a speed monitoring unit. A base of a speed limiter of the system is coaxially and rotationally equipped with a rope wheel and a ratchet wheel; a ratchet pawl torsional spring is arranged between a ratchet pawl which rotates on one side of the rope pulley and the rope wheel; a ratchet pawl positioning structure is also rotationally mounted on the rope wheel; the jacking end of the ratchet pawl positioning structure is in flexible jacking coordination with the ratchet pawl; a disk plate is coaxially fixed to the wheel face, far away from gravity hammers, of the ratchet wheel; self-reset switches are arranged at the periphery of the disk plate, and are positioned on a concentric circle circumference of the disk plate; levers of all of the self-reset switches extends to the inner side; the free ends of the all levers are positioned on circumferences of a group of concentric circles of the disk plate; the gravity hammers are in contact with all of the self-reset switches sequentially in a stretching process. Through the adoption of the system provided by the invention, a corresponding building can realize the purpose of using a higher-speed elevator under the condition of neither additionally expanding a head space and a bottom space of the elevator nor increasing the cost of a buffer.
