The invention discloses a trapezoidal connection piece for a low floor tramcar and an articulated mechanism mounting seat, which comprise an upper bottom plate, a lower bottom plate and two support columns, wherein the upper and the lower bottom plates are arranged in parallel, the length of the upper bottom plate is smaller than the length of the lower bottom plate, each support column is of a herringbone, and comprises two curvy surfaces which are symmetrically arranged, an aggregated end of the two curvy surfaces is fixedly connected with the upper bottom plate, the other ends of the two curvy surfaces are fixedly connected with the lower bottom plate, two adjacent curvy surfaces can form a U-type slot, and a plurality of bolt holes are all arranged on the upper and the lower bottom plates. The trapezoidal connection piece is of a whole casted structure, is concentrated in stress, and the design of the herringbone support columns is consistent with stress transfer direction, and is strong in carrying capacity, compact in structure and convenient to make, mount and maintain. Furthermore, the design of a plurality of lightening holes is strong in carrying capacity, is beneficial to reduce whole quality, is convenient to mount and maintain, and is beneficial to effectively utilize materials.
