The invention relates to a range-extending-type hybrid power system for a new energy automobile. The range-extending-type hybrid power system comprises a central control device, a measuring mechanism, a driving mechanism and an electricity generating mechanism, wherein the measuring mechanism, the driving mechanism and the electricity generating mechanism are connected with the central control device. The driving mechanism comprises a battery pack, a driving motor and a reduction gear. The battery pack is electrically connected with the driving motor, the driving motor is connected with the reduction gear in a transmitting mode, and the battery pack and the driving motor are both connected with the central control device. The electricity generating mechanism comprises an alternator, an increasing gear, an engine, a fuel tank and a rectifier. The fuel tank is connected with the engine. According to the range-extending-type hybrid power system for the new energy automobile, electricity can be generated through the electricity generating mechanism, and the running capacity of the automobile is guaranteed; meanwhile, the electricity generating efficiency of the electricity generating mechanism can be improved through a rectifying circuit, and system reliability is further improved. Parameters of the automobile are measured in real time through measuring modules in the measuring mechanism, and the reliability and the safety of the system are guaranteed.
