The invention relates to the field of air-conditioning equipment and discloses a method for controlling a vehicle-mounted energy-saving automatic air conditioner. The method comprises the following steps: judging whether an air-conditioning system is in a heating mode or not, if yes, performing the following steps: (1) powering off a compressor and switching to an internal circulation mode; (2) calculating the difference (delta Tc) between real-time temperature outside a car (Tw) and real-time temperature inside the car (Tn) according to a formula that delta Tc is equal to Tn minus Tw, comparing delta Tc with the difference (delta Ty) between calibrated temperature inside the car and calibrated temperature outside the car and comparing real-time humidity in the car (Hn) with calibrated humidity in the car (Hy), powering on the compressor if delta Tc is larger than or equal to delta Ty, and Hn is larger than or equal to Hy, allowing the compressor to run with preset power, setting the air volume to a preset level and enabling external circulation, and repeatedly performing steps (1) to (2) if delta Tc is smaller than delta Ty or Hn is smaller than Hy. According to the technical scheme, the front windshield of the car is protected from fogging when energy conservation is realized, so that the driving safety is improved.
