The invention relates to a steel wall crawl device with a left tray and a right tray capable of floating in multiple directions and belongs to the technical field of small carrying devices. Magnetic wheels driven by motors are arranged on the left tray and the right tray, and a plurality of elastic elements which can become shorter when being subjected to pressure are fastened to a middle tray. One ends of the elastic elements are connected with the corresponding left tray or right tray through knuckle bearings, the left tray and the right tray are each connected with the middle tray through a self-adaptive connecting assembly, and the self-adaptive connecting assemblies enable the left tray and the right tray to rotate around axes parallel to the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction of the middle tray respectivley. Each self-adaptive connecting assembly can be structured in that mode that a large deep groove ball bearing is fastened to the inner ring of the middle tray and then is fastened to a small bearing, the large deep groove ball bearing and the small bearing share the same fixing mandrel, the outer ring of the large deep groove ball bearing is fastened to a bearing seat of the large deep groove ball bearing, one end of a connecting plate is hinged to the bearing seat, and the other end of the connecting plate is hinged to the left tray or the right tray. No matter what shapes of steel walls the crawl device encounters in the operation process, the driving magnetic wheel can make reliable contact with the steel walls.
