The invention discloses a tooth-type structure of a support chain wheel of a hydraulic excavator and the hydraulic excavator. The tooth-type structure of the support chain wheel of the hydraulic excavator comprises a support chain wheel and is characterized in that a plurality of tooth structures are arranged on the circumference of the support chain wheel, the support chain wheel is of an axisymmetric structure, and the multiple tooth structures are distributed on the circumference of the support chain wheel at equal intervals; a groove structure is formed between every two adjacent tooth structures, and the groove structures are smooth transition type groove structures.
