The invention relates to a road-topological-structure-based wireless vehicle information collection method. According to the method, a road network is divided into a road section, connecting points, and a connecting area formed by the road section and the connecting points. On the basis of the road topology, temporary regions are divided for vehicles driving on the road. For vehicles having wireless communication capabilities in the same region at the same time, one vehicle is selected as a sponsor and one vehicle is selected as a follower; the sponsor is the vehicle at the best position among the vehicle in the region and is used as a collection node of vehicle data in the region; and the follower is used as a sending node of the data. The sponsor and the follower are used as main bodies for providing information and thus data collection of a wireless self-organizing vehicle network can be completed with high efficiency.
