The invention relates to a strand-shaped profile having a base substrate made of an elastomer material for a wiper blade, particularly a wiper blade for windshield wipers, that is at least partially equipped with a friction-reducing coating. The coating comprises two layers, wherein a base layer applied directly to the base substrate is a wear-resistant coating, and a top layer applied to the base layer is friction reducing. The invention further relates to a method for coating a strand-shaped profile, wherein in a first step a base layer is applied to the profile, and in a second step a cover layer, wherein the base layer contains between 0 and 45 wt.-% dry lubricant and the cover layer between 60 and 100 wt.-% dry lubricant. The amount of dry lubricant in the cover layer is greater than in the base layer.
