The invention relates to a seabed thermal water and cold spring observation method and system and belongs to the technical field of ocean observation. The problem that at present, a method for carrying out offshore practical observation on the physical and chemical characteristics of a thermal liquid and cold spring nozzle is lacked is mainly solved. The method mainly comprises the following steps of initializing the observation system; transmitting an instruction to control a submerged buoy to submerge; reading data and processing the data in real time; setting the depth for drifting; controlling the submerged buoy to float; locating and recovering the submerged buoy. Corresponding to the observation method, the observation system comprises an initializing module, a submerged buoy control module, a data processing module, a communication module and a water wireless positioning module. According to the observation method and system, remote observation of seabed thermal water and cold spring can be achieved, and temperature, salinity and depth data of the ocean vertical section are measured; in the measuring process, the working state of the submerged buoy can be monitored in real time, and task planning of the submerged buoy is adjusted in real time.
