The invention belongs to the technical field of elevator safety design, and provides a side wall attraction type resistance increasing mechanism. The side wall attraction type resistance increasing mechanism comprises a falling protection controller, a power source, a signal transmitter, a wire harness, an infrared diastimeter, an infrared distance measurement point fixing block, a signal receiver, positive electromagnetic field emitting mechanisms and a negative electromagnetic field emitting mechanism. The falling protection controller, the power source and the signal transmitter are sequentially arranged on the upper surface of the top of a car, the infrared diastimeter and the first positive electromagnetic field emitting mechanism are both arranged on the lower surface of the bottom end of the car, and the infrared distance measurement point fixing block and the second positive electromagnetic field emitting mechanism are arranged at the bottom of an elevator shaft. According to the side wall attraction type resistance increasing mechanism, when the falling protection controller monitors that the car falls through the infrared diastimeter, the electromagnetic field emitting mechanisms are controlled to be started through a wireless signal alarm, and the falling resistance of the car is increased. The side wall attraction type resistance increasing mechanism is reasonable in design, simple in structure and suitable for optimization design of a vertical elevator falling damage reducing system.
