The invention relates to an obstacle surmounting transport mechanism for warships. The obstacle surmounting transport mechanism comprises a vehicle body (1), vehicle frames (7) and composite wheels, wherein the composite wheels are mounted on the vehicle frames (7); each composite wheel comprises a front wheel and a rear wheel, and the front wheel and the rear wheel of each composite wheel are connected with a corresponding lifting device; each lifting device is connected with a locking device. The obstacle surmounting transport mechanism is mainly used for enabling a warship to quickly surmount terrains with typical 'vertical plate type' obstacles, and can be used for transportation, investigation, search and rescue and the like on the terrains with typical 'vertical plate type' obstacles; the obstacle surmounting transport mechanism can be transformed into hardware used for transporting cargoes in passageways of ships and warships. According to the obstacle surmounting transport mechanism disclosed by the invention, through gear rack mechanisms or telescoping cylinder mechanisms, the typical 'vertical plate type' obstacles can be surmounted in a 'crossing type' moving manner; the wheels are universal wheels; the whole mechanism is flexible to drive and simple to operate.
