The invention discloses a high air tightness tire rubber material and a preparation method thereof. The rubber material is prepared mainly from the following components in parts by weight: 50 parts of natural rubber, 30 to 50 parts of nitrile rubber, 10 to 20 parts of peracetic acid, 5 to 15 parts of polystyrene, 10 to 20 parts of chitosan, 30 to 50 parts of carbon black, 1 to 7 parts of stearic acid, 3 to 7 parts of zinc oxide, 0.5 to 1.5 parts of zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate, 10 to 20 parts of coupling reagent and 5 to 15 parts of vulcanizing agent. Compared with the prior art, the high air tightness tire rubber material and the preparation method thereof disclosed by the invention are simple in process and low in cost; the high air tightness tire rubber material not only has the advantages of the rubber materials in the prior art but also can be further promoted in air tightness.
