[Problem] To improve durability of a seal ring fitted in a seal ring groove in a tube in which a seal ring groove is formed by rotary sequential machining and in a shock absorber provided with the tube. [Solution] The inclination angle (theta1) with respect to a plane (PL1) perpendicular to an axis of a separator tube (4) is set to 8 degrees or more for a side surface (72) of a sealing groove (22) positioned on an opening end (20A) side of the separator tube (4). Consequently, the maximum tensile stress acting on an O-ring can be made lower than the maximum tensile stress when a backup ring is used, and as a result the durability of the O-ring can be improved to the same level or higher than when the backup ring is used.
