The invention relates to an intelligent underwater robot based on laser imaging detection. The intelligent underwater robot comprises a underwater robot main body, laser imaging equipment and characteristic extracting and identifying equipment, wherein the laser imaging equipment and the characteristic extracting and identifying equipment are both positioned on the underwater robot main body; the laser imaging equipment is used for shooting an underwater laser image; and the characteristic extracting and identifying equipment is connected with the laser imaging equipment and used for extracting underwater human body characteristics from the underwater laser image and determining a human body type. According to the intelligent underwater robot based on the laser imaging detection, provided by the invention, underwater laser imaging can be accurately performed and underwater remains can be automatically detected.
