A bus passenger flow data acquisition method based on mobile phone MAC address scanning comprises the following steps: step 1, a piece of on-board network communication equipment on a bus is connected with mobile phones of passengers via WIFI to scan and detect the MAC addresses of the mobile phones of the passengers, wherein the WIFI of the on-board network communication equipment is ensured to cover the whole bus (the effective coverage radius of the WIFI network is set to S which is smaller than the minimum distance between two adjacent bus stops); step 2, an on-board positioning device dynamically acquires specific location information (stop information) of the bus; step 3, an on-board processor calculates the number of passengers getting on or off the bus; and step 4, the on-board processor corrects the calculated data of passengers getting on or off the bus.
