The invention relates to a rotary supporting rod type bicycle capable of preventing forward turnover. The bicycle comprises a bicycle frame, a front fork frame, a front wheel, a rear wheel, a saddle, a handlebar and a brake component, wherein the front fork frame comprises a front fork upright tube and front fork supporting tubes; the front fork upright tube is assembled on the bicycle frame; the front fork supporting tubes are connected with the front fork upright tube and are positioned on two sides of the front wheel. The bicycle is characterized by also comprising a supporting plate, a rotary supporting rod, a supporting roller and a lock plate, wherein the supporting plate is fixed onto the lower parts of the front fork supporting tubes; the rotary supporting rod is mounted on the supporting plate through a rotary shaft; a lock hole is formed in one side, positioned on the rotary shaft, of the supporting plate; a lock pin is inserted into the lock hole; the axis of the rotary shaft is parallel to that of the front wheel; the free end of the rotary supporting rod extends out of the periphery of the front wheel by 10 to 20cm; the supporting roller is mounted at the free end of the rotary supporting rod; the lock plate is arranged at the fixed end of the rotary supporting rod; an unfolding hole and a folding hole which can be opposite to the lock hole and can allow the penetration of the lock pin are formed in the lock plate. According to the bicycle, a forward turnover accident caused by sudden brake of the front wheel of the bicycle can be effectively avoided, and the safety performance of the bicycle is improved.
