The invention relates to a transversely parking robot comprising a robot pedestal; a robot main body is connected with a robot side body so as to form a U-shape cavity used for containing a vehicle body; the bottom of the robot pedestal is provided with driving wheels; the robot main body is provided with two parallel hydraulic lift mechanisms respectively having a wheel bearing mechanism in parallel; the two wheel bearing mechanisms are in a Z-shape, partially positioned in the U-shape cavity, and vertical to the robot main body; the wheel bearing mechanism is provided with a wheel bearing end; the wheel bearing end is a U-shape wheel support part consistent with the length extension direction of the wheel bearing mechanism; in parking, the parking robot moves to a side face of the vehicle body, extends wheel bearing mechanisms of the two U-shape wheel support parts to positions below the wheels, and uses the hydraulic lift mechanism to lift the wheel bearing mechanisms, when the vehicle body moves the ground, the parking robot moves the vehicle to a pre-assigned parking stand, thus realizing transversely parking purpose.
