The invention discloses a method and device for monitoring the driving behaviors of a driver. The device comprises an identification input system, an identification output system and a control output system which are connected. The identification input system comprises a probe and an inductor. The identification output system comprises a voice device and a caution light. The control output system comprises a speed reducing device and an accelerator control device. The driving behaviors of the driver are monitored through the probe and the inductor of the identification input system. After fatigue driving or other unsafe behaviors are found out, the voice device of the identification output system gives out caution voice and the caution light of the identification output system flickers for prompt; if fatigue driving or other unsafe driving behaviors are continued after the prompt, the speed reducing device and the accelerator control device of the control output system automatically control speed reduction and pulling over at a proper position. The method and device have the advantages of being simple, direct, efficient, accurate, and capable of effectively solving the problems of fatigue driving or other unsafe driving behaviors of the driver, reducing traffic accidents greatly and promoting fast social development.
