The invention discloses a video switching method for a vehicle-mounted display screen. The video switching method comprises the following steps of arranging video collecting devices in front, right, left and rear directions of a vehicle in advance so as to collect videos in each direction; arranging parking space detecting devices on the left side and the right side of the vehicle in advance to detect parking spaces on the left side and on the right side of the vehicle; and determining the video in at least one direction, which is to be displayed by the vehicle-mounted display screen, in the form of a state machine, and displaying the video by the vehicle-mounted display screen. State parameters of the state machine at least comprise a normal driving state, a parking space detecting state and a parking state; input parameters of the state machine comprise driving operation information obtained by a vehicle-mounted sensor; and output parameter of the state machine corresponds to whether the video in each direction is displayed or not. The video switching method for the vehicle-mounted display screen, disclosed by the invention, is advantaged in that the video of the vehicle in different directions can be displayed in a switched way according to different states of the vehicle and different driving situations of a driver so as to satisfy the demand that the driver checks important areas at different times.
