A machine cover lock catch for motor vehicle comprises a flanging edge (3), a left surface (1), a right surface (2) and a flanging edge (4) and is characterized in that the flanging edge (4) is connected with the left surface (1) and the right surface (2) through a plurality of long double curves S3 and S4. The left surface (1) is formed by connecting one double curve S1 with two straight lines; the two parallel straight lines are connected with each other through the double curve S1; and the left surface (1) and the right surface (2) are bilaterally symmetric. The machine cover lock catch for the motor vehicle, provided by the invention, is advantaged in that the appearance of the machine cover lock catch is beautiful, the making cost of the machine cover lock catch is low, the strength of the machine cover lock catch is high and the service life of the machine cover lock catch is increased by more than two times when compared with the service life of the traditional machine cover lock catch.
