The invention discloses a detecting device used for detecting the situation that a steel wire rope on a hoisting device coiling block disengages from a groove. A first support and a second support are arranged on the two sides of the lower portion of the coiling block respectively. A limiting switch is arranged on the top of the first support. A pull ring is arranged on the top of the second support. A pulling rope line is arranged between the pull ring and an elastic limiting rod of the limiting switch. The pulling rope line is in a horizontal tensioned state under the action of elastic force of the elastic limiting rod, and the signal end of the limiting switch is connected with a controller through a signal line. When external force acts on the pulling rope line and elastic droop of the elastic limiting rod is overcome, the elastic limiting rod can be pulled to incline to the inner side, and therefore the limiting switch can send a signal to the controller. The detecting device has the beneficial effects that the phenomenon that the steel wire rope disengages from the groove can be found in time, remedial measures are taken in time, and the phenomenon that because the steel wire rope jumps out of the groove and wire breakage happens, the steel wire rope is scrapped is avoided; and the service life of the steel wire rope is greatly prolonged, and the occurrence possibility of safety accidents is greatly reduced.
